Cartiere Carrara, a leading tissue manufacturer, has announced that it has acquired the tissue producer Idealcart from Caldaroni Group.

The paper mill, that is located in the South Centre of Italy, is equipped with a paper machine with a capacity of approximately 25,000 mtpy.

The transaction is strictly connected with the acquisition of the converting companies CRC and Carind that Cartiere Carrara finalized in January 2020.

“Through this acquisition we further strengthen our production capacity in a key market such as South Europe. It is a move that enables Cartiere Carrara to optimize its operation in Italy” said Mario Carrara, chief growth officer
The operation has been run by the management of the Group along with legal assistance of Legance.

Cartiere Carrara continues the legacy of over 145 years’ experience of the Carrara family in the manufacturing and processing of paper. Headquartered in Florence with operating facilities in the heart of the Italian paper tissue district, Cartiere Carrara has six production facilities in Italy with over 600 employees. It produces about 270,000 mtpy of high-quality tissue transformed by 42 converting lines in finished products for the at-home/consumer and away-from-home markets, distributed in 47 countries.
