Metsä Tissue, part of the Metsä Group, is curtailing its paper production at Krapkowice mill in Poland by stopping the PM 6 until the end of December 2019 and will decide by the end of the year whether the PM 6 will be restarted. The annual production capacity of the PM 6 has been approximately 20,000 metric tons. The curtailment is necessary because of the currently unsatisfactory prices of tissue papers in the market. Metsä Tissue will also aim in future to balance its mills to meet market demand.

Metsä Tissue is a leading tissue paper products supplier to households and professionals in Europe and the world’s leading supplier of greaseproof papers. Its main brands are Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento, Katrin and SAGA. With production units in five countries, it employs a total of about 2,800 people. Sales in 2018 were EUR 1 billion. Metsä Tissue is part of Metsä Group.
