Kyiv CPM signed a contract with EBRD to provide a €10 million loan to the mill. The funds will be used for purchasing new equipment to expand production, implementation of EU standards and CO2 emissions reduction.

At the beginning of 2019, the installation of shoe press for cardboard drying is planned. This will allow KCPM to reduce steam use, increase production and improve the quality of coated cardboard.

This fall, new converters and packaging lines will be installed for the production of AFH tissue products under the trade name SoffiPrо: toilet paper, paper towels, couches and wipes for public places.

KCPM will upgrade its waste paper processing equipment. The corresponding production cycle will be the first in the country to meet EU principles for resource and energy efficiency.

The investments are expected to reduce the company’s annual CO2 emissions by up to 11,000 metric tons.
