China’s C&S Paper has fired up a new 10,000-mtpy tissue machine at its mill in Jiaxing city, Zhejiang province. The first sheet of paper rolled off the line in mid-June.

The machine has a trim width of 2.85 m and a design speed of 900 m/min. The Jiaxing mill also operates three Kawanoe Zoki-supplied tissue PMs with a combined capacity of around 32,000 mtpy.

C&S Paper is forging ahead with tissue capacity expansions elsewhere in the country as well. In November, the company brought a new 30,000-mtpy tissue machine online at its Tangshan mill in Hebei province.

Supplied by Polish machinery supplier PMP Group, the machine features a trim width of 3.5 m and a design speed of 1,600 m/min.

Two identical units came on stream at the company’s Yunfu mill in Luoding city, Guangdong Province, in the first two months of the year.

The Shenzhen-listed company stated that it plans to add 100,000 mtpy of new tissue paper capacity at its existing facility in Xiaogan city, Hubei province, by year’s end. Currently the Xiaogan mill runs two tissue machines with a total capacity of nearly 23,000 mtpy.
