Paper Converting Machine Co. (PCMC), Green Bay, Wis., USA, part of Barry-Wehmiller, will partner with Bedford Paper in 2017 to provide a full tissue converting and packaging line for its facility in De Pere, Wis. The project will give Bedford Paper, De Pere, Wis., a complete solution for retail and away-from-home small bath tissue and towels, allowing the company to become a full-service converting facility. The line will feature PCMC’s Forte Ultra high-speed rewinder and XF wrapper, along with the two newest members of the company’s equipment lineup, the Omnia and MultiPacker.

An embossing/laminator platform, PCMC’s Omnia was developed to provide the best web handling and product quality, outstanding ergonomics, and smart and quick grade change—all with the lowest space footprint ever in its category.

The MultiPacker is a combination case-packer and bundler, giving customers the flexibility and simplicity to adapt their line layouts to meet the rapidly changing needs of their businesses. It features pick and place technology, which minimizes product handling and opportunities for jams.

This effort marks the second time PCMC and Bedford Paper will partner on a tissue line, demonstrating the solid relationship that continues to grow between the two companies.

"We take pride in our ability to build trust with our customers," said Jason Hilsberg, tissue sales director at PCMC. "This project proves that. We’ve been able to nurture this relationship by understanding expectations and then performing to them, while introducing new technology that the market hasn’t seen before. Ultimately, we’re helping fuel our customer’s success, which is always exciting."
