U.S. Pulp Imports at 4.75 Million Metric TPY Rate through July

U.S. bleached pulp imports were running at a 4.75 million metric ton annual rate through July 2016, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Census. Bleached softwood kraft (BSK) pulp was up 5.1% y/y, and bleached hardwood kraft (BHK) pulp was up 4%.

The following table shows U.S. BSK and BHK pulp imports for July 2016 vs. July 2015, and fro the first seven months of this year.
