At the beginning of this year, A.Celli Paper, Lucca, Italy, concluded an important negotiation with the Paper Making Division of the international Group Indevco for an upgrade of the slitting section of rewinders in that company’s tissue plants in North Africa. One of the projects was at the Lebanese plant at Unipak Tissue Mill, and two were in Egypt, at Interstate Paper Industries.

This past October, a team from A.Celli Paper’s Customer Service department, in collaboration with the mill’s specialized staff, dismantled the slitting unit at the Lebanon mill in just four days of machine downtime and two days of product testing, allowing the customer to resume standard production with no complications or delays, concluding the first of three interventions on the rewinder with excellent results.

"We are very enthusiastic about the professionalism with which the A.Celli Paper technicians handled the intervention at Unipak Tissue Mill, allowing us to quickly resume our normal production," said Unipak, expressing gratitude and recognition during a recent visit to the MIAC event in Italy, "and we are very pleased with this upgrade that permitted us to once again attain an optimal quality level of the slitting section, improving the performance of the rewinder and consequently of the entire line."

Later this past month, November, A.Celli began the other two interventions at the Egyptian mills. Similar resulpt6s are expects with this project.
