Brazil BEK Pulp Exports Plunge 19%

Brazil’s export of bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp declined 19% y/y and 10% m/m through May, according to  SECEX—Foreign Trade Secretariat, Brazil. This is the lowest monthly total since March 2014. The following table compares Brazil’s exports of BEK pulp for 2014 through the first five month of this year, and the by-year percent of totals for major BEK pulp exporting countries.
