Europe Market Pulp Consumption Down 9.6%

European consumption of market pulp in December 2014 was down 9.6% month/month, according to data provided by Pulp Info Global (P.I.G.). The bleached softwood share (%) of bleached kraft pulp consumption plunged to an all-time low.

 

The following graph shows Western Europe purchased pulp consumption and stocks days’ supply for 2005 through 2014, for both hardwood and softwood.
