STARTAPPINew or Revised Standards, TIPs, and Useful Methods
TIP 0304-47 "Corrugator bearing clearance checks and their impact" (Reaffirmed) TIP 0808-04 "Paper test rooms: design considerations" (Revised) Special note: Documents appearing in the TAPPI online version of the Standards and TIPs are updated once a month (usually around the 15th). So it is possible that there is a delay between the publication announcement and the posting online. If you are a subscriber to the online access to Standards and TIPs and you are in a hurry for new documents that have not yet been posted, you can send a request to standards@tappi.org. TAPPI Standards in Ballot
Listed below are TAPPI Standards that have recently gone out for ballot to the corresponding Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG). The date in parentheses is the closing date for voting.
T 602 cm-06 "Analysis of sulfuric acid" (February 26, 2018)
T 818 cm-07 "Ring crush of paperboard (flexible beam method)" (March 10, 2018)
T 834 om-12 "Determination of containerboard roll hardness" (March 11, 2018) T 568 om-12 "Physical area of sub-visible contraries in pulp, paper, and paperboard by image analysis" (March 17, 2018)

All Standard-Specific Interest Groups (SSIG) require a minimum of 10 members in order to ballot and vote on a draft of a method. The following test methods do not have the required minimum number of member to initiate a ballot:
T 408 cm-07 "Rosin in paper and paperboard" requires two more members to ballot. T 421 om-12 " Qualitative (including optical microscopic) analysis of mineral filler and mineral coating of paper" requires two more members for ballot.
T 438 cm-06 "Zinc and cadmium in paper" requires two more SSIG members for ballot.
