Propose a New Standard or Technical Information Paper (TIP)

Getting started is easy. Do you have just a general idea for a Standard, or are you farther along and have a substantial draft? If you just have a general idea for a Standard or TIP, complete the New Idea Submission form. TAPPI will review your idea and identify an appropriate committee or group to work on your suggestion. If you are further along, send an initial draft to standards@tappi.org. From there, the TAPPI Standards Manager will guide you through the appropriate process to finalize and approve the new document.

Volunteer Engagement - Getting the Industry Involved!

In Spring 2020, the Quality and Standards Management Committee (Q&SMC) created a Standards Engagement Task Force to promote SSIG involvement. Thanks to the efforts of the volunteers on this task force: Chris Czyryza, Dave Carlson, Colleen Walker, Dennis Crawshaw, M. Todd Popson and Mary Kombolias. There have been over 80 updates to various SSIGs including 22 individuals increasing their Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG) involvement and even new individuals have joined SSIGs. We have also worked with the task force to create more engagement collateral. Please feel free to share the flyers bellow with your friends and colleagues.

As always, thank you for all you do to support TAPPI Standards and TIPs. We look forward to sharing more updates with you soon! Join an SSIG today!

TAPPI Standards guidelines require that all TAPPI members receive notification of any proposed new Standard or TIPs. This message is being sent to you because you are a TAPPI member; have purchased TIPs or Standards products from TAPPI; or because you have previously expressed interest in this topic.
