Withdrawal of Standard

The following Standard has been administratively withdrawn by the responsible SSIG, with approval from the Standards Advisory Review Group (SARG) on October 3, 2018, due to lack of continued interest in the method:

T 676 cm-08 "Viscosity of starch and starch products"

The TAPPI Standards guidelines allow for reinstatement of withdrawn Standards if properly reviewed by the responsible Standard-Specific Interest Group. If you have any interest in working on the reinstatement of this Standard, please contact the Standards Department (standards@tappi.org) at TAPPI.

Removal of SSIG members due to missing ballots: reminder of rule from Standards Guidelines

SSIG members who have missed three ballots in a row from any SSIG will be dropped out of the SSIG roster. However, failing to vote on 3 ballots from 3 different SSIGs will result in a removal from all SSIGs rosters.
In accordance with TAPPI Standards Guidelines - Section 6.3.3 Participation in Standard-Specific Interest Groups:
"Any SSIG member who fails to return three ballots in a row on a particular Standard shall be dropped from membership from that SSIG. Any TAPPI member who is dropped from three SSIGs due to failure to return ballots will also be dropped from all SSIGs."

Any SSIG member dropped may request reinstatement to the roster by writing to standards@tappi.org.

TAPPI Standards guidelines require that all TAPPI members receive notification of any proposed new Standard or TIPs. This message is being sent to you because you are a TAPPI member; have purchased TIPs or Standards products from TAPPI; or because you have previously expressed interest in this topic.
