Classical methods T 818 and T 819 status update

Print Print this article | Send to Colleague

Having been a classical method for over 20 years, along with limited use of the equipment, the SSIG for T 819 has approved this method for withdrawal.

In a previous issue of the STAR newsletter, T 818 was mistakenly listed as being withdrawn. The guidelines require that a vote return percentage exceed 50%, and upon closer examination of the ballot for T 818, the percentage of votes received was exactly 50%. This method requires reballoting. Thank you for your understanding and participation in the TAPPI Standards Process.

If you have use of these methods, any questions, or concerns, please contact standards@tappi.org for more information.

TAPPI Standards guidelines require that all TAPPI members receive notification of any proposed new Standard or TIPs. This message is being sent to you because you are a TAPPI member; have purchased TIPs or Standards products from TAPPI; or because you have previously expressed interest in this topic.
