Withdrawal of TIP 0402-04

TIP 0402-04 "Clad-steel plate use" has been withdrawn at the recommendation of the current Working Group due to this information being available from other sources. The announcement proposing this withdrawal was in the March 2014 STAR.

Also, there is not much call, if any, for clad steel plate anymore. Pulp and paper mill vessels are now more likely to be built out of solid corrosion resistant alloy plate.

One document that contains this information is NACE SP0199 "Installation of Stainless Chromium-Nickel Steel and Nickel-Alloy Roll-Bonded and Explosion-Bonded Clad Plate in Air Pollution Control Equipment." The other, "Engineering with Clad Steel, 2nd Edition" is available online through the Nickel Institute.
