Print Print this article | Send to Colleague

The working group reviewing TIP 0402-04 "Clad-steel plate use" has recommended withdrawal due to this information being available from other sources.

Also, is not much call, if any, for clad steel plate anymore. Pulp and paper mill vessels are now more likely to be built out of solid corrosion resistant alloy plate.

One document that contains this information is NACE SP0199 "Installation of Stainless Chromium-Nickel Steel and Nickel-Alloy Roll-Bonded and Explosion-Bonded Clad Plate in Air Pollution Control Equipment." The other, "Engineering with Clad Steel, 2nd Edition" is available online through the Nickel Institute.

If you have comments or have any objection to this withdrawal. please contact standards@tappi.org no later than April 15, 2014. If no objections are received, the TIP will be withdrawn after that date.
