The EPA's Boiler MACT legislation could push environmental spending, as a percentage of capital spending, to 40% - 50% and "over the edge" for many pulp and paper mills still off-balance and struggling in the wake of the 2008-10 economic downturn. This year's environmental sessions at the TAPPI PEERS Conference will explore the impact of Boiler MACT from both the compliance and equipment perspectives, and also examine modern investment strategies that factor in environmental considerations as well as insurance costs and benefits.
The TAPPI PEERS Conference also includes workshops, a mill tour, excellent networking opportunities, exhibits and a peer-reviewed technical program featuring more than 30 sessions. Held in conjunction with the International Pulp Bleaching Conference this year, attending this event is a sound business decision for anyone that needs to focus on making operations more efficient and effective.
