Toscotec will supply to linerboard manufacturer ETAP a technological rebuild of PM2’s press section at their Borg Elarab paper mill, near Alexandria in Egypt. The paper machine has a sheet trim width of 2,520 mm and it manufactures testliner and kraftliner in the range from 125 to 240 gsm.

International technology group ANDRITZ has successfully started up a complete OCC line delivered on EPS (Engineering, Procurement, Supervision) basis to SCGP’s subsidiary, United Pulp and Paper Co., Inc. (UPPC) for its mill in Bulacan, the Philippines.

Valmet has on March 1, 2022 acquired North American-based Coldwater Seals, Inc., a global provider of consumables and services to the pulp and paper industry. Coldwater operates manufacturing facilities in the United States and Sweden. The value of the acquisition will not be disclosed.

Thanks to a digitization of LignoCity, the test and development facility for the forest raw material lignin, geographical boundaries are a thing of the past. It is now possible to tour the plant from all over the world and at the same time get an insight into the fantastic world of lignin.

The operations of Metsä Group's only production unit in Russia, the Svir sawmill, have been suspended. Wood procurement in Russia for the Svir sawmill and imports to Metsä Group’s Finnish and Swedish mills has also been discontinued.

Sylvamo has stopped the production of A4 office paper at its plant in the Russian St. Petersburg region due to interruptions in the supply of chemical reagents.

Packaging group Pro-Gest has announced a temporary production stop at all of its six paper mills in Italy, EUWID reports. This is seen as a consequence of the war in Ukraine and exorbitant energy prices.

Toscotec will take part in Tissue World Miami from 16th to 18th March 2022 to showcase its energy-efficient tissue technology and forthcoming innovations. Toscotec is set to introduce pioneering technologies aimed to decarbonize the tissue manufacturing process and propel the industry’s green transition to using fossil free energy sources.

Henan Xinya orders two new A.Celli E-WIND® P100 paper rewinders for the Xianxing plant. Given the excellent results obtained thanks to the solutions provided by A.Celli since 2005, including the E-WIND® P100 paper rewinder ordered in 2018, Henan Xinya New Tech Materials Co.,Ltd. will again turn to A.Celli rewinding solutions.
