Domsjö Fabriker, Sweden, ceased production at its dissolving pulp mill July 30, 2017, due to a large (64 sq. meters) sinkhole. According to a report by EUWID pulp and Paper this past week, a company spokeswoman said that, following the undermining of a riverbank next to the mill, a landslip occurred, creating a huge hole at the mill premises. This did not cause any damage to the mill but, to carry out repair work, the mill had to shut down operations. The repair work would take at least a week, the company said. TAPPI
