Ralph Stagner (right), the manager of Industrial Packaging’s Savannah, Ga., USA, containerboard mill, will retire at the end of 2015, International Paper (Memphis, Tenn.) has announced. Stagner joined the company following the acquisition of Temple-Inland in 2003, and the announcement said Stagner will help the mill’s leadership transition.
In a related announcement, David Castro (above left) has been named manager of IP’s Savannah Containerboard Mill and will assume overall leadership responsibility for the facility. Since 2011, Castro has been the mill manager at IP’s Springfield, Ore., containerboard mill. In his more than 33 years with the company, Castro has held various roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing at IP’s Mansfield and Red River, La., containerboard mills and the Springfield mill.TAPPI
