Robert Kinstrey Winner of 2013 Herman Joachim Distinguished Service Award


Robert Kinstrey, director, Pulp and Paper Consultancy for Jacobs, has been named recipient of TAPPI's 2013 Herman Joachim Distinguished Service Award. The Award is the highest honor the Association can bestow upon an individual for exemplary leadership that has significantly contributed to the advancement of the Association. It will be presented at the PaperCon 2013 Conference Awards Dinner, Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

"By virtue of the outstanding leadership he has demonstrated in a number of senior positions, Robert Kinstrey has provided great benefit to the Association and its members," according to Larry N. Montague, president and CEO of TAPPI. "During a long and distinguished career, he's led by example and has been an inspiration to everyone he's worked with. I am pleased to be able to honor his outstanding record of service with this prestigious award."

Kinstrey is a TAPPI Fellow and has been an active participant and leader in TAPPI and PIMA for many years. He has served in a wide range of senior roles including TAPPI Foundation Trustee and the TAPPI Board of Directors. He has made or written more than 90 presentations and articles published in numerous industry publications. Kinstrey is a member of the Syracuse Pulp & Paper Foundation where he's served on the Board of Directors and as foundation president. he was awarded the 2008 PIMA/CPBIS Management Excellence Award.
