TAPPI and the Paper Science & Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) are working in partnership to deliver upcoming, hands-on short courses that you'll want to consider in expanding your industry knowledge.

Coming up this month is a focused approach in understanding the role additives serve in the papermaking processes. Registration is underway with nearly half of the class filled so far.

• Explain the difference between process additives and product improving additives

• Describe the difference between wet and dry strength additives
• Explain the purpose and use of foam control, pitch control and biocides
