The Hands-on Workshop for Pulp and Paper Basics

This workshop provides a comprehensive overview of Pulping, Bleaching, Chemical Recovery, Recycling, Papermaking and Converting operations.
Who should attend?
This introductory workshop is designed for new process engineers, operators, technicians, as well as sales and service personnel. If you want a well-rounded understanding of the paper industry, from the woodyard to the final product, this workshop is perfect for you.
Learn Through Hands-On Experience
- Interact with pulp and paper instructors in small groups
- Participate in hands-on laboratory exercises
- Run a pilot plant paper machine
- Perform hands-on lab experiments
- Gain an overview of the pulping and papermaking processes
- Identify how different processes affect paper properties
- Understand the overall structure of the paper industry
Earn while you learn
TAPPI will award 3.4 continuing education units (CEUs) to participants who attend and complete a final program evaluation.
