Lecta has implemented new internal procedures and is updating its IT systems to ensure full compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which will apply across the Group from December 30, 2025.

As a manufacturer that relies on wood — a renewable raw material sourced from forests and forest plantations — Lecta recognizes the importance of safeguarding these natural ecosystems. Forests play a vital role in maintaining the global CO₂ balance and are essential to the health of our planet. Responsible sourcing practices, based on certified Chain of Custody systems that ensure traceability, are fundamental to Lecta’s operations.

In line with these values, Lecta fully supports the objectives of the EUDR, which aims to combat deforestation and forest degradation in supply chains. The company has been actively working to meet the Regulation’s stringent requirements, ensuring that its sourcing practices remain responsible, transparent and sustainable.
The EUDR represents a key initiative by the European Union in the global fight against deforestation and presents a significant challenge for all market players.
