The EP Paper Industrial Professional Committee, in collaboration with the China National Chemical Information Center (CNCIC), is announce the 2025 Green Paper-Based Functional Materials and Sustainable Development Summit on the Eco-Friendly Paper Industry, Nanocellulose Materials Seminar & Paper-Based Functional Materials and Eco-Friendly Paper Packaging Exhibition.

The venue will take place at Shanghai International Procurement Exhibition Center, China, December 3-5, 2025.

Nanocellulose—derived from abundant plant fibers—is rapidly emerging as a high-performance, lightweight, and biodegradable material, marking the beginning of the "post-carbon fiber era." With applications spanning paper, pulp, packaging, molded pulp, textiles, automotive, and coatings, nanocellulose is gaining global recognition as a key driver of sustainable innovation.

Key Participants (Proposed Invitees):
The summit will bring together leading nanocellulose producers, industry pioneers, and academic institutions, including:

  • Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences
  • Tianlu Nano Technology
  • Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.
  • Hangzhou Chemical Research Institute
  • Stora Enso
  • Jinan Shengquan Group
  • And many more...

Discussion Topics:

  • Emerging trends in nanocellulose development
  • Green preparation techniques and high-value applications
  • Plastic substitution: feasibility, cost analysis, and commercial potential
  • Printing performance and usability in eco-friendly packaging

Participation Format:

  • 20-minute presentations by industry leaders
  • 1-hour panel discussions with live Q&A
  • Conference proceedings and research displays
  • On-site product exhibitions & digital online showcase

"Nanocellulose is not just a breakthrough material for sustainability—it is a game-changer for the future of the paper and packaging industry," said a spokesperson from the organizing committee. "This summit aims to bring together experts from industry, academia, and research to foster collaboration, share cutting-edge knowledge, and accelerate the growth of biomass-based functional materials."
