Co-sponsored by TAPPI and NC State University, the Hands-On Pulp and Paper Basics Workshop will be held Monday, October 9 – Friday, October 13 at NC State University in Raleigh, NC. This unique hands-on introductory level workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to master the basic concepts in pulp and paper manufacturing. Participants will learn a broad overview of Pulping, Bleaching, Chemical Recovery, Recycling, Papermaking and Converting.

The course will consist of presentations each morning followed by hands-on laboratory and pilot-plant exercises every afternoon. Participants will receive a set of course notes, lab manuals and have access to the lecture files via the Internet.
