TAPPI Fiberglass Mat Technology Forum’s Call for Speakers is Now Open! Submit Your Abstracts by July 28

You’re invited to submit a presentation to the 2023 TAPPI Fiberglass Mat Technology Forum, October 17-19, 2023 in Chattanooga, TN. This is a valuable opportunity to share your latest technical developments in the fiberglass mat arena and establish yourself as a thought leader. Abstracts are due July 28, 2023.

The Fiberglass Mat Technology Forum is the industry’s not-to-miss event for exchanging knowledge, learning from the pros, and critical face-to-face networking opportunities.  

The theme for this year’s event is “Mechanical Aspects of Fiberglass Manufacturing” and the organizers are seeking presentations on topics like:

  • Operation/Equipment: Winding, production equipment topics, winder improvements
  • Regulatory/Sustainability: Sustainability/regulation, glass mat industry trends, recycling efforts, zero to landfill
  • Safety around forming and saturation areas, winding profiles, fiber feeding best practices, maintenance days best practices, safety culture, combustion safety, machine guarding
  • Quality issues, defect detectors, defect formation mechanism, modeling, fiber dosing, moisture content measurement
  • Innovation: New developments, innovation
  • Forming and Saturator Issues: Curtain stability, wire drainage, defects
  • Automation and a deep dive into the forming section machinery
  • Glass Mat manufacturing process, glass mat uses and requirements, specialty mat, coated glass mat
  • Sustainability and Regulation: Sustainability, circularity, carbon consumption reduction, formaldehyde background and regulation
