What’s on the Mind of a Nanotechnology Thought Leader?

Taking place at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, the keynote addresses are a highlight attraction for attendees. Each speaker offers a global perspective that complements the conference experience. Confirmed speakers include:

Gurminder Minhas, Managing Director, Performance BioFilaments is speaking on Monday, 12 June at 16:00 – 17:30. His presentation, “The 10 Year Journey of a Biomaterials Company”, will outline the journey that Performance BioFilaments has been on since 2014.  He will cover some of the victories, challenges and surprises that occurred along the way.

Sean Ireland, Vice President Business Development, FiberLean Technologies is speaking on Tuesday, 13 June at 12:00 – 13:30. Ireland is responsible for global development opportunities and is focused on the physical and surface sciences of nano-scale technologies with an emphasis on cellulosic nanomaterials.

 

Julien Bras, Associate Professor, Grenoble INP is speaking on Thursday, 15 June at 12:00 – 13:30. Bras’ presentation, “Nanocellulose: Is It Really a Good Solution for Sustainable Packaging?”, will discuss some of the main challenges in the sustainable packaging industry and will share how nanocellulose can be used to create promising solutions. Additionally, Bras will cover the nanocellulose production and sustainable process, the value-added functionalization of such materials and the application of nanocellulose on 2D and 3D packaging.
