Sael Started the Sectional Drive of PM3 at Fedrigoni Paper Mill in Verona (Italy)

After having chosen SAEL as the supplier of its sectional drive in Verona in Italy, FEDRIGONI has entered the full production with the plant started up at the beginning of the year. Since the PM1 rebuilding in 2015, and its great payback reliability over 7 years of use, the paper mill assigned to SAEL the PM3 drive without any doubt.

The previous PM3 sectional drive was replaced by SAEL’s “ONE drive” platform which uses long life inverters. Those inverters are especially made for paper mill applications. Also in this case, the choice immediately paid off the paper mill in terms of efforts made.

The start-up went fluid, on time with the paper mill target (very difficult to be achieved in these periods of scarce availability of materials). Thanks to the new DCS Scalink, with two 22 inch screens installed in 2 different engineering stations – having redundancy system integrate – the paper mill can manage the entire machine, controlling the production at the best.

Moreover, the new control desks will be distributed along the board machine, in order to give a completely new prospect and dynamic to the operators of the paper mill, having the option to control in an absolute way the complete process: from the formation of the paper to the Pope reel.
