Liberty Diversified International (LDI) employees embraced the holiday spirit and gave more than $836,000 to nonprofit organizations, including the United Way, Creating Healthier Communities (CHC) and others. LDI employees donated $418,000 of their funds, and the company’s family foundation matched the gifts.

The Annual Giving Campaign is an employee-driven legacy program for the company, which began partnering with the United Way more than 75 years ago and with CHC for seven years. Each year the company brings in a speaker to educate its employees about the needs of the community and employees find it in their hearts to choose to give.

The company also plans activities relevant to each location to create unity for greater impact. These include hearing from nonprofit community leaders and engaging in volunteer events, cook-offs, raffles, bake sales and more.

LDI is a privately held family of businesses with more than 2,000 employees operating in multiple industries. With its foundation in paper and packaging, the company is more than 100 years old.
