Russian Pulp Production Remains Stable in 2021

The volume of industrial production of wood pulp and pulp from other fibrous materials in Russia in 2021 amounted to 8.8 million tons, which is 0.7% more than a year earlier, according to recent data, published by the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

For the reporting period, the production of paper and cardboard increased by 6.7%, boxes, including boxes from corrugated paper or cardboard - by 12.4, wallpaper - by 12.4, labels and tags of paper or cardboard - by 16.2%.

In Russia, paper production is mainly concentrated in the North West part of the country, while the list of leading players consists of Mondi Syktyvkar LPK, Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, as well as Karelia Pulp and Knauf Petroboard.
