Help set the standard. ISO/TC 6/TG 1 Cellulosic nanomaterials and TAPPI's Nano Division will host the Cellulose Nanofibril Particle Size Measurement: Setting Priorities in Standards Development Virtual Workshop, scheduled to be held 14-15 September from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EDT. ISO/TC 6/TG 1 is the primary international task group dedicated to standards development for cellulosic nanomaterials. Attendees of the workshop will assist in research for the development of new standards in CNF particle size measurement.

This two-day virtual workshop focused on particle size measurement provides detail on the capabilities of various techniques currently used to measure CNF particle size. Measurement challenges for two distinct CNF types, individual and “entangled” CNFs, will be compared while the effectiveness of given measurement techniques and their feasibility in industry vs. research will be deliberated.

During the first day, attendees can expect expert speakers to present insights on current best practices for various CNF particle size measurement techniques. The following day will be an interactive SWOT analysis discussion on improved measurement and reporting of CNF particle size, CNF features to characterize for a given application and priority setting in standards development. Please visit the workshop page for up to date agenda details and the speaker list.

Want to attend? There’s only two weeks left. Register today for the Cellulose Nanofibril Particle Size Measurement: Setting Priorities in Standards Development Virtual Workshop, scheduled to be held 14-15 September from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EDT. For $60 you can help the ISO/TC 6/TG 1 members set new standards in CNF particle size measurement.
