CTI Paper USA announced a new partnership agreement with Milan-based Gruppo Cordenons to supply and serve merchants, converters and brand managers in the U.S. and Canada. The partnership takes effect September 1.

Cordenons is a leading Italian manufacturer of luxury specialty papers for printing, converting and packaging. CTI Paper USA is a leading North American provider of super-premium papers and envelopes for digital and offset printing as well as converting applications.

Under the partnership, CTI Paper USA will stock, service and distribute the following FSC-certified Cordenons brands: AstroKing, Canaletto, Leatherlike, Natural Evolution, Monnalisa, Moondream, Plike, Reef, Slide, So…Silk, Stardream, Stardream 2.0, and Wild.

CTI Paper USA President and Co-Owner John Kelly said the partnership with Cordenons — a manufacturer widely respected for its innovative, world-class coated and uncoated papers — will bring important, differentiated value to customers.

"Our two companies are a natural fit because of our mutual dedication to excellence and innovation in super-premium substrates," Kelly said. "Customers who buy premium products deserve premium service. Cordenons and CTI Paper USA take seriously our commitment to this very special market."

Cordenons Commercial Director Matteo Suardi added, "This is a partnership that is deeply committed to producing and delivering beautiful, high performing substrates, anticipating customer needs, and providing the exceptional service and support that buyers and end-users demand today."

The two companies said they are dedicated to creating a smooth transition for customers.

Kelly said his team is now in the process of stocking Cordenons inventory, samples and other sales promotion/support materials.

Kelly said CTI Paper USA will add new items to further support the growing small format market, including papers for toner-based digital equipment and other new cut-size offerings. It will also provide new matching envelopes, available from stock, for select Cordenons brands.

In the coming months, CTI Paper USA will develop a new swatchbook for the Cordenons brands, along with new collateral material for merchants, printers and other specifiers. Samples for all stocked items will be available from CTI Paper USA's dedicated sample services department.

Custom-making papers, including unique colors, textures and sizes will also be offered, along with technical products developed to meet specific customer applications.
