The Komax Scepter Tank Heater Produces Uniform Temperature

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The Komax Scepter Tank Heater or steam sparger develops a strong stirring action that produces uniform temperature throughout the tank allowing for accurate temperature control while keeping any solids or particulates in suspension.

The scepter tank steam heater draws in the liquid with a vacuum effect created by momentum of the steam existing in the steam sparger. The liquid then is drawn into the six fixed mixing chambers of the Equalizer™ Mixing Module, where water and steam are divided and recombined by the mixing elements to form multiple impingent mixing zones for uniform temperature control within the tank. This division and recombination of streams shears the steam bubbles to a small size and ensures an operation that is free of vibration, noise, and/or auxiliary air supply.
