ProJet Receives Order from Fajar Paper

ProJet, Meerssen, Netherlands won a tender for the supply of 5 new high pressure showers, which will be delivered to PM1 at Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk. in Bekasi, Indonesia.
Fajar Paper is a leading packaging paper manufacturer in Indonesia with an installed capacity of 1,300,000 metric tons per year and a range of products which include linerboard (KLB) and corrugated medium paper (CMP) for cartonbox packaging and coated duplex board (CDB) for display packaging. Running with current 6 paper machines, Fajar Paper produces around 1.3 million tons of packaging papers per year ranging from Coated Duplex Board, Kraft Liner Board and Corrugated Medium Paper.
ProJet already supplied the High Pressure Tail Cutters for all of Fajar’s paper machines and is now also selected to supply the High pressure Showers for the Forming Section of PM1.
Fajar justifies the investment purely based on reduction in water consumption: the ProCleaner use a single traversing head that cover the felts almost three times as fast as the existing conventional oscillating showers. The conventional HP Showers can be eliminated completely. Users of the ProCleaner achieve substantial water savings because the ProJet Cleaner uses only 1.3gpm (5.0litre/min) of water; a conventional shower consumes over 40gpm.
Moreover, the ProCleaner:
• Eliminates the need for cleaning and passivation chemicals
• Extends the lifetime of Forming Fabrics
• Eliminates the need for shutdowns for manual cleaning
Value of the order will not be disclosed and delivery of the Cleaners is scheduled for September, 2021 with a start-up later in the year.
