TAPPI’s PEERS and IBBC Technical Program Committees have announced an extended deadline for submitting papers for these fall 2021 events, November 7-10 in Atlanta, GA. The new deadline is Monday, April 5th.

After seeing a recent uptick in inquiries about submitting and with the goal of offering the best, and most timely, information possible, both Committees recently made the decision to extend the deadline.

Known as one of the leading technical conferences in the industry, the Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling and Sustainability (PEERS) Conference offers a comprehensive technical program which emphasizes new methods and best practices to help mills optimize operations and reach sustainability goals. The Conference provides industry professionals the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts in a presentation setting, as well as engage in peer-to-peer discussions during panel sessions, committee meetings and roundtables. The Committee seeks manuscripts that provide reports or case studies on new advances in technology, increases in efficiency and reliability, and fundamental process knowledge. Interested candidates should submit abstracts through TAPPI's Speaker Management System.

The International Bioenergy and Bioproducts Conference (IBBC) focuses on new technologies using renewable materials from biomass to produce chemicals, polymers and fuels to support the growing bioeconomy through sustainable biorefinery. Known as one of the leading technical conferences in the industry, IBBC’s peer-reviewed sessions are expert-led and include high-level discussions on key topics critical in today's current climate. Candidates interested in participating at IBBC are asked to submit abstracts to TAPPI's Speaker Management System.

IBBC also offers a Student Poster Session and Competition designed especially for students and young professionals, giving them the opportunity to get industry input on their projects as well as gain exposure for their research. Poster abstracts are due August 31. For suggested topics and abstract submittal information, click here.
