Omya has launched Omya PrimeFill 60, an innovative ground calcium carbonate mineral filler specially designed for opacity and strength enhancement across all graphic paper and packaging grades.
Omya PrimeFill 60 offers up to a 2 point improvement in opacity compared with established ground calcium carbonate products and can even be a cost-effective alternative to scalenohedral precipitated calcium carbonate. It is ideal for white top linerboard and similar applications where opacity and sheet internal bond strength are key requirements. Omya PrimeFill 60 is a high solids slurry product manufactured in Omya’s Florence, Vermont plant.
