SupplyOne Acquires Florida Packaging Supplier

SupplyOne — which brands itself as the United States’ largest independent packaging company — announced in late October that it has acquired Riverside Paper Co., a privately held paper supplier based in Miami, Florida.

It’s the second Miami-based purchase for SupplyOne in two years, as the Newtown Square, Pennsylvania-based supplier purchased GTI Industries in August 2019, which was its most recent previous acquisition. Prior to that, it gained a Florida foothold in 2012 when it bought Tampa-based Melco Inc.

In Riverside, SupplyOne gains a 47-year-old, family-owned manufacturer of corrugated products and distributor of packaging products. Its offerings include custom and die-cut corrugated products, along with shipping, packaging, warehouse, and maintenance products. Riverside offers next-day delivery and shipping through its Florida distribution centers in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SupplyOne’s customers are primarily midsized companies in the manufacturing, food processing, and distribution industries that rely on corrugated products, plastic thermoforming, packaging equipment, and supplies.

Prior to 2019, SupplyOne’s recent acquisitions included Advantage Packaging, Inc. (Douglassville, Georgia – December 2018); CME Integrated Solutions (Decatur, Georgia – May 2018); SouthPack Sales & Service (Atlanta, Georgia – May 2018); and Omni Packaging (Tulsa, Oklahoma – February 2018).

SupplyOne has been owned by private equity firm Wellspring Capital Management since February 2018.
