TAPPI Industry Career Center: GL&V seeks Systems Process Engineer

GL&V USA has a dynamic Full-time career opportunity for a Process Engineer in our Nashua, N.H., USA, location. In this role you will support the Fiberline business by eventually becoming the systems expert. 
 
This is a diverse technical role that spans from providing support to our customers, troubleshooting equipment and processes, assisting and writing on technical quotations, ensuring proper costing, as well as developing and improving our tools and systems, and to do it with an entrepreneurial mind-set for improving the current and future generations of products. 
 
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Pulp & Paper, Chemical Engineering or related technical field; and/or 5+years related experience in technical sales or pulp and paper industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable in operation of cooking, knotting, washing, screening and bleaching in the fiberline area is helpful.
  • Must be self-directed individual, and as such needs a wide array of leadership, functional / technical and organizational skills to work in and with multiple cultures within GL&V as well as our customers.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and use spreadsheet analysis with Win GEMS for process simulation and analysis.
  • Ability to drive results and self-manage priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel required.  
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, by plane and/or by motor vehicle, including extended domestic and international travel.
