K-C Names Allgaier Group President of N.A. Consumer Business

Kimberly-Clark Corp., Dallas, Texas, USA, this week named Larry P. Allgaier group president of Kimberly-Clark North America, reporting to Mike Hsu, president and COO. In his new role, effective April 24, 2017, Allgaier will lead K-C's $8 billion North American consumer business, with brands such as Huggies, Cottonelle, and Depend. 

"Larry is an outstanding leader with a passion for the consumer products industry. As the leader of our North American consumer business, he will drive strong performance and long-term shareholder value, as we lead the world in essentials for a better life," said Hsu. "Larry's strong track record for delivering sustainable, profitable growth and championing innovation will enable him to effectively lead the largest business unit in Kimberly-Clark's portfolio."

Prior to joining K-C, Allgaier held senior leadership roles at Mars Inc., which he joined in 2012. Most recently, he was president of the newly formed Mars Petcare Veterinary Health Group. Before that he was president of the $4 billion North America Petcare business. In both roles, he delivered significant growth and market share improvements. Prior to Mars Inc., Allgaier was Global Head of Novartis' Over the Counter Medicines Unit, responsible for more than 200 brands in 50-plus countries across six regions. 

Allgaier began his consumer career at Procter & Gamble, spending 20 years in various leadership roles including product supply, brand management, and general management, and regional assignments based in Japan and Poland. He has more than seven years of experience in baby care in North America and Asia, including VP and GM of the North America Baby Care business, with global responsibility for innovation on pants and premium taped diapers.

Allgaier holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn. He and his wife will be relocating to Neenah, Wis.
