KapStone Paper and Packaging Corp., Northbrook, Ill., USA, recently received a Silver Outstanding Merchandising Achievement (OMA) award in the food category at the annual Shop! Association OMA Awards at GlobalShop 2017 in Las Vegas, Nev. The award-winning entry was for the first-of-its-kind Point-of-Purchase temporary display for General Mills' Annie's Mac & Cheese.

The display entry was the debut of KapStone's Self-Activating Display Header system created by the Merchandising Solutions Group. The team developed a display header across multiple display platforms that requires zero set-up at retail locations. The new header system automatically moves the graphic header up into position once a shroud or top cap is removed to ensure graphic headers are always in position. This provides customers with complete confidence that their display communication will not be compromised. It also guarantees that the display will be seen by customers the way it was designed, which can increase brand recognition.
