Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Tissue producer IPUSA, Uruguay, and Cellwood Machinery, Sweden, have signed an agreement for installation of a Cellwood Grubbens high consistency pulper type HCP and a Grubbens reject separator type GRS at IPUSA’s tissue mill in Canelones, Uruguay. This pulping system will allow for increased usage of wastepaper and improve the flexibility in the IPUSA process.

Cellwood and IPUSA have a longstanding relationship based on a previous successful installation of a Krima dispersion system at the Canelones mill.

Cellwood Machinery develops, manufactures, and supplies machinery and systems for the pulp and paper industry. It is known for its brand products Krima, Grubbens, and Algas.

CMPC, Chile, acquired IPUSA in 1994. The mill has tissue production capacity (paper towels, toilet tissue, and other tissue products) of 35,000 metric tpy.
