Grupo Gondi, Mexico City, Mexico, has completed its acquisition of Aluprint Folding Cartons from Constantia Flexibles, Austria, a global manufacturer of flexible packaging and labels. Aluprint, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, is a manufacturer of high graphic folding cartons.

The Aluprint Folding Cartons acquisition will further Grupo Gondi’s market share in high graphic packaging ("Sexy Boxes") and extend its range of solutions to meet the growing and dynamic industry of consumer goods in Mexico and the U.S.

Eduardo Posada, CEO of Grupo Gondi, said that "throughout Grupo Gondi’s 60-yr. history, strategic acquisitions such as Aluprint Folding Cartons have helped us to become the leading packaging company in the country. As part of our recently announced strategic alliance with WestRock, we have integrated their plants in Mexico and have now begun construction of a new box plant. Through the integration of Aluprint Folding Cartons, we will increase the quality and range of products and will strengthen our invaluable human capital that is the core the Gondi family."

Following this acquisition, Grupo Gondi will operate 14 plants and employ more than 7,200 people.
