Monadnock Paper Mills Inc. (MPM), Bennington, N.H., USA, a family-owned producer of specialty papers for the technical, packaging, and printing markets, this week announced the newest product in its Envi Portfolio line, EnviUltraform Backlit Poster. EnviUltraform is an innovation in print media for outdoor and indoor applications such as bus shelters and backlit and other retail and entertainment signage that is Forest Stewardship Council certified, contains 10% post-consumer waste recycled fiber, and maintains superior formation for uncompromising print results. Best of all, it’s recyclable in the mixed waste paper bin.

Recent data shows that design firms have reported a 5% increase in the use of sustainable materials based on consumer feedback and demand (retailenvironments.org, Retail Environments, September 2015 issue, page 23). Envi Backlit answers that need by providing an FSC®-certified, renewable alternative to rigid polystyrene. Further, the product is a print-ready poster stock optimized for UV or Latex inkjet, offset, and screen-printing. In addition to improving a brand’s environmental footprint, the product provides exceptional surface uniformity, smoothness, and brightness and is resistant to harsh environmental conditions.

"As consumers become more environmentally-conscious, Monadnock is constantly looking to develop solutions that brands can leverage to improve their environmental profile," said Richard Verney, chairman and CEO of Monadnock."This innovation in indoor and outdoor advertising aligns well with our plastic-replacement strategy and complements our Envi Portfolio of substrates, which provides brands with sustainable options that do not require a compromise in performance or aesthetics."
