Sonoco-Alcore to Sell Coreboard Mill in France

Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l., Brussels, Belgium, this week announced its intention to sell its Schweighouse-sur-Moder uncoated recycled coreboard mill in Alsace, France. The company has notified the local works council of this opportunity.

The Schweighouse facility is one of 20 paper mills that Sonoco operates globally. Established in 1878, the mill has two machines with a total capacity of 95,000 metric tpy.

Sonoco Alcore S.a.r.l. is wholly owned by Sonoco, Hartsville, S.C., USA, and operates 29 tubes and cores plants and five paperboard mills in Europe.
