Last year Jujo Thermal, Finland, a producer of thermal specialty papers, invested more than EUR 4 million, and this year the company will invest EUR 7 million in its Kauttua mill in Finland. The focus of the investments is on productivity improvement as well as on novel technologies to enable manufacturing of new types of products. Special emphasis is given to quality enhancement to be able to meet the ever growing market demands. Environmental impact will be reduced and overall energy efficiency will be improved due to these investments.

With these investments the company says that it guarantees its competitiveness in the future. "We are a part of our customers value chain and thus committed to continuously deliver competitive solutions for our customers’ businesses. As we work closely with our customers in terms of product development and quality improvement, they have been heard in our process of improving factory operations," said Jens Remmer, VP of sales at Jujo Thermal.

"Jujo Thermal’s owner, Nippon Paper Group, strongly believes in the Kauttua mill. The thermal paper produced here is an important part of the Group’s portfolio. The investments support our focus on supplying competitive, eco-friendly, and highly functional products and solutions. This is also in line with our strategy of bridging the technical and cultural cooperation between Finland and Japan," said Yoshihide Kimura, president of Jujo Thermal.

The investments are also good news for the mill personnel, the neighbouring community, and the paper industry of Finland. It ensures that the paper making traditions continue and thrive.
