IP Kwidzyn, Poland, Mill Damaged by Fire

The recovered paper warehouse of International Paper's (Memphis, Tenn., USA) Kwidzyn mill in Poland was partly destroyed by a fire in late August, as reported by EUWID Pulp & Paper, Germany. Newsprint production at the mill was not affected by the incident. The mill’s newsprint machine is reportedly running normally and recovered paper supply for production is ongoing. No workers were injured during the accident.

IP produces newsprint on one machine with a capacity of 115,000 metric tpy at its Kwidzyn mill, as well as uncoated fine paper and cartonboard..
