The Voith LSC TecoSens sensor and Voith LSC TecoScan scanner for non-radioactive measurement of fiber weight and moisture content are now installed around the world, Voith, Germany, reports. The units belong to Voith’s basic quality control system for tissue machines. Equipped with special cleaning devices, the system guarantees maximum availability with minimum maintenance. Combined with its extremely robust construction, the system offers the lowest operating costs in the industry, Voith notes.

Also, OnQ GradeControl, a MD control of basis weight and moisture, is part of this first package. Additionally, the OnView information system archives and visualizes all process-relevant data from the tissue machine, and also offers an adaptable user interface as well as expert tools for process analysis and optimization.

All of these products are now integrated into the new ComCore platform from Voith, which easily can be expanded at any time. The web based ComCore technology offers the opportunity to perform all interventions and call up all information about the various components and applications of the quality control system with one click.
