Saudi Paper Selects Recard to Rebuild PM 1 Tissue Machine

Saudi Paper, Saudi Arabia, has selected Recard, Lucca, Italy, to rebuild its PM 1 tissue machine. The twin wire machine will be modified into a crescent former designed for 1,700 m/min. and 100 metric tpd.

According to Recard, this will be the fourth machine it has supplied/rebuilt for Saudi Paper. The new crescent former will have a 2,750 mm net sheet width and a new steel yankee and yankee dryer hood. It will receive new drives and a new electrical plant, including a distributed control system (DCS). The upgrade will double the slitting rewinder capacity.

The delivery is scheduled for June-July of this year, with startup set for December.
