U.S. P&P Mill 2014 Boiler MACT Spending to Exceed $1 Billion

Project activity by the U.S. pulp and paper industry to meet Boiler MACT (Maximum Achievable Control Technology) requirements shows expenditures totaling more than $1 billion for 2014, according to Industrial Info Resources, Sugarland, Texas, USA. The southeastern and southwestern sections of the U.S. are continuing to dominate Boiler MACT projects.
 
Industrial Info Resources reports that pulp and paper companies in the Southeast and Southwest currently report more than $670 million in Boiler MACT related expenditures.
