Ahlstrom Completes Sale of Converting Operations to West Carrollton

Ahlstrom, Finland, has completed the sale of its converting operations of the company’s West Carrollton plant in Ohio, USA, to West Carrollton Parchment and Converting Inc., an Ohio-based family-owned company.

The plant’s approximately 70 employees will transfer to West Carrollton Parchment and Converting. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction.

Ahlstrom is a fiber-based materials company. Its products are used in a variety of everyday applications, such as filters, medical gowns and drapes, diagnostics, wall coverings, flooring, and food packaging. In 2012, Ahlstrom's net sales from the continuing operations (excluding its label and processing businesses) totaled EUR 1 billion. The company has some 3,800 employees.
